Yes! Jenny & the Worm was very well received at this year’s Clermont Ferrand and received a Special Mention from International Jury member Nacho Vigalondo. Thanks Nacho.

This is great news for the film of course, as it means many more festivals take an interest. 2010 should be a good year for Jenny...

Firstly, Jenny & the Worm has been selected for Clermont Ferrand Festival. YES! I went to Clermont with Def in 2003 and it’s still the best festival experience I’ve ever had. I have been hoping to go back and 7 years later my wish has been granted! It’s playing in the International Competition and the festival is running from the 29th of January to the 6th of Feb.

Yes, since the last posting I have completed Jenny & the Worm which premiered at the London Film Festival in the London Calling shorts selection. The film went down really when and subsequently screened at Encounters last week. It is already lined up for the London Short Film Festival in January, which will be the first competitive screening. Go Jenny!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the website and the last thing I wrote was a cliffhanger. We didn’t win the RTS award but since then Outcasts has played at a few more festivals. At “The Way We Live” festival in Munich - a disability festival which Def had also played at - it picked up an ‘honorable mention’. I had a great weekend over there with Cerrie and Jennifer from the film. Not sure if and when the next screening of the movie will be, but I reckon there will be a couple more disability film festivals next year...
